Cabbages and Kings

This is fun!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

So, this week, I made this:

See, we need to time these user studies. There are a ton off egg-timer type programs out there, but none of them had the features that I required (i.e. make sure that every action makes a noise. We want the researcher to be able to hear it whenever the user interacts with the program, without having to have it on a separate computer, or be looking over the user's shoulder the entire time). So, I wrote my own. Ain't it purty? It works embedded in a webpage, or as a separate program. The magic o' shockwave.

Also:

I’m now doing class presentations. Lots of them. Once a day or more, for the foreseeable future, I will tramp out to the far reaches of the campus and do a ten-minute presentation to every type of class from physics to music. Thus far, I’ve done two of these (they went fairly well, I think). I am scheduled to do another then thus far, and invite-emails are coming in daily. Not too many results thus far (i.e. 0), but, here's hopin'.
