I'm Back.

I went to Italy for SOCG2005, and now I'm back.

Man, that was an interesting experience. To all of you out there in considering-research-as-a-career land, I very much recommend attending a conference as soon as humanly possible. There are an awful lot of smart dudes out there, and listening them is an eye-opening experience. Plus, all the lewt. Musn't forget the lewt.

I made a presentation on an video reel/paper combo Steve and I did up based on his "Curve Constrained Planar Graph" algorithm. It turned out alright, but not spectacularly. I really wish that I'd had more time to work on it, but there you go.

I also had dinner with Giuseppe-ruddy-Di Battista, the "pope" of graph drawing. How cool is that?
