NOT FINISHED

So, remember last post, when I said that we had our study design all finished up?

Yeah, no.

On Wednesday, I gave a presentation on our study to CHISEL at large. With pretty powerpoint stuff and everything. Now, imagine, if you will, that I had printed out my study design on lovely crisp, white sheets of 30lb paper. You can almost feel the smooth-osity, can’t you? Alright, keep that image clear in your mind:

So, looks like we might have to do some re-writes.

I don’t care what anybody tells you, user-studies are hard fricken work. Apparently, when Peggy was applying for jobs somewhere or other, they asked her what the hardest part of her doctoral candidacy was, and she replied that it was the user studies. As compared to the giant fisheye graphics library she implemented. I see now that she wasn’t kidding. Coming up with a design which covers all the angles, which accounts for all human inconsistencies, is nearly impossible (in fact, in many cases, it *is* impossible). Thus, Trish and I had a mother of a meeting today, and, well, yeah. This is going to be a looong week.
