Profile: My Project

CDMP Project Description: As the CHISEL group has so many projects on the go, I expect this summer to be quite interesting in terms variation. I plan on working on the Camerón project for the most part, possibly with some forays into Creole.

Project Goals - General:

• produce and maintain a website throughout the summer, with updates of my progress and a blog of my activities (ongoing)
• produce a technical report detailing my activities during the course of the project (end of summer)
• learn the Java programming language, with a specific emhpasis on the SWING library (May)

Project Goals - Camerón:

• do a survey of some of the relevant visualization papers (May/June)
• correct bugs existing in the program currently, and add new features (May/June/July)
• conduct user studies of the program, which will entail the production of a survey, applications to various authoritative bodies, and an analysis of the results of the study, probably including additional changes to the program (June/July/August)
• Write a paper based on the findings of this research (July/August)
