My project is in the area of large-scale Information Technology server systems. My tasks include the design and implementation of a C++ scheduler to enhance an existing dynamic content serving solution with code portability and increased overall throughput. For this purpose, I will combine several technologies, such as, interfacing through ODBC/JDBC, event-driven connection handling and multithreading. I will also benchmark the overall server to measure its throughput and average latency in order to quantify the implemented optimizations.
