The Workshop on Supporting Diversity in Systems Research (Diversity 2015) is a forum to support traditionally underrepresented students in systems research. It provides minority and female students at the graduate or advanced undergraduate level with valuable opportunities for mentorship and networking.
CRA-W will host Mid and Early Career Mentoring Workshops on June 13-14, 2015 co-located at the Federated Computing Research Conference in Portland, Oregon. The goal of these workshops is to increase the percentage of Computer Science and Engineering women faculty members and researchers/technologists who reach the top of their respective career tracks.
The Grad Cohort Workshop is a two day conference, where participants interact with about 20 senior female computing researchers and professionals. The workshop includes a mix of formal presentations and informal discussions and social events. By attending Grad Cohort, participants are able to build mentoring relationships and develop peer networks that will form the basis for ongoing activities during their graduate career and beyond. The Grad Cohort Workshop is generously funded by sponsors from industry, academia, the National Science Foundation, and the computing community.
