The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Data Science at John Carroll University invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions in Computer Science. We welcome applications at both the assistant and the associate levels. We will prioritize candidates with a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and collaboration with faculty in the department and across campus. Candidates are expected to develop a research agenda and supervise undergraduate students.

We are open to a wide range of possible specialties, but we are particularly eager to hire candidates with expertise in machine learning, health informatics, software engineering, algorithms, systems, and security. The university is committed to rapidly growing the computer science major, providing candidates with many opportunities to shape the future of the program. Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by August 2023.

Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, a commitment to research, and an interest in being an engaged member of the faculty at a selective Jesuit Catholic liberal arts institution.
