The School of Computing (SoC) at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) is going through a strategic expansion and invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at assistant or associate professor rank to begin Fall 2025. SoC offers a collegial and collaborative culture, with broad interdisciplinary research with other units across our campus. We seek exceptional candidates who can establish a strong scholarly research and teaching program in, but not limited to, Robotics, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field. They must also have a record of strong scholarly achievement and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education. Candidates at the assistant professor level must have the potential to establish a strong externally funded research program, while candidates at the associate professor level are expected to have an outstanding publication record, a history of funded research, and a strong national/international reputation in their respective research areas. Candidates with demonstrated cross-disciplinary research experience are particularly encouraged to apply.
