The Computer Science department in the college of Information of Science and Technology invites applications for a Senior Technology Fellow (Assistant Professor of Practice) position starting Fall 2018. Responsibilities include 75% teaching (three sections each fall and spring semester, or annual equivalent) and 25% service activities such as coordination of multiple section courses, outreach to educational communities, accreditation support or other assignments. Successful candidates will be expected to be significantly involved in the college’s teaching mission and teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs. Potential involvement in the research mission of the college would be considered positively.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in computer science and/or related disciplines, and have an enthusiasm of teaching and interaction with students. Some industry experience and substantive collegiate level teaching experience, strong oral presentation, and communication skills are required for this position. Salary is competitive.
