Fred Douglis Joins CRA-Industry Council

CRA-Industry (CRA-I) is pleased to welcome Fred Douglis (Peraton Labs) to the CRA-I Council. He joins an expanding group of Council members, under the leadership of CRA-I Council Chair Ron Brachman (Cornell Tech), who will continue collaborating with the CRA-I Steering Committee. Together, they will focus on shaping the committee’s future directions, engaging with the community, and advancing the goals of CRA-I.

Fred Douglis has been a Chief Research Scientist at Peraton Labs since January 2018, where he works on applied research in the areas of high-performance computing, edge computing, computer security, and others. He was previously with companies including Matsushita, AT&T, IBM, and (Dell) EMC. His other research interests have included storage, distributed systems, web tools and performance, and mobile computing. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from U.C. Berkeley. Douglis was elected twice to the IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors and is a fellow of the IEEE.
