November GUIRR Webinar: Women in STEM Education and Careers

guirr logoThe National Academies’ Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable (GUIRR) is hosting a webinar on women in STEM education and careers on Wednesday, November 18, 1-2 PM EDT.

A new report from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) called Solving the Equation: The Variables for Women’s Success in Engineering and Computing asks why there are still so few women in critical STEM fields, and explains what we can do to make these fields open to and desirable for all employees.

Please join us for a discussion about the report and women in STEM with the report’s author, Catherine Hill, Vice President for Research at AAUW, and Kitty Didion, Director of the Committee on Women in Science, Engineering, and Medicine at the Academies.
