Call for Outstanding Young Researchers in Mathematics and Computer Science!
The application process for the 4th Heidelberg Laureate Forum begins November 1, 2015.
Young computer scientists and mathematicians from all over the world can apply for one of the 200 coveted spots to participate in Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), an annual networking event. The HLF offers all accepted young researchers the great opportunity to personally interact with the laureates of the most prestigious prizes in the fields of mathematics and computer science. For one week, the recipients of the Abel Prize, the ACM A.M. Turing Award, the Fields Medal, and the Nevanlinna Prize engage in a cross-generational scientific dialogue with young researchers in Heidelberg, Germany. The application period for the 4th HLF runs from November 1, 2015 until February 3, 2016. Young researchers at all phases of their careers (undergrad, PhD or postdoc) are encouraged to complete and submit their application by February 3 (midnight at the dateline) via the following link: http://application.heidelberg-laureate-forum.org. Internship Opportunities at the White House
The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) is currently accepting applications for its Spring 2016 Internship Program. Serving as an OSTP Intern provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior White House officials and science and technology policy analysts in OSTP’s topic-based divisions. Internships are available in divisions such as the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, Technology & Innovation, and President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. The application deadline is October 30, 2015 at 11:59 pm EDT.
OSTP Interns are accepted for one of three annual terms (spring, summer, or fall), which each last no more than 90 days. While these positions are without compensation, the assignments provide educational enrichment, practical work experience, and networking opportunities with other individuals in the science and technology policy arena.
More information and application instructions are available on the OSTP Internship Program website.
