Thank You Data Buddies!
The Center for Evaluating the Research Pipeline (CERP) would like to thank the academic units that participated in the Data Buddies Survey (DBS) for the 2024-2025 survey cycle! The survey collected data from October 29th to February 11th. This year, there were 143 units that actively participated in the project, representing 39 states and one Canadian institution. Of the academic units who participated this year, 15% were MSIs, 6% were HSIs, and 2% were HBCUs. In addition, 65% of units were from PhD granting institutions, 12% were from Master’s granting institutions, and 22% were from Bachelor’s granting institutions.
Currently, the CERP team is working on data processing and generating unit-level reports. Units that received 5 or more survey responses should receive their free DBS reports within the next month. In addition, the annual report and public dataset will be available soon after on our website.
Did you know that you can now request data going back to 2020? You can request that data here and view previous annual reports here. Any departments interested in participating in Data Buddies this upcoming fall can sign up at the following link.
Once again, the CERP team greatly appreciates the participation and cooperation of all academic units that participate in Data Buddies. We look forward to continuing to serve the computing community through this project.
If you have any questions or inquiries, please reach out to cerp@cra.org.
