The College of Information Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The Postdoctoral Research Associate position will be for a period of 1 year, with the possibility for 1 to 2 more years of funded research work. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will conduct research for 40 hours/week and supervise Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate students as needed. This position will support a research project for using rural Nebraska bridges as full-scale “testbeds.” The project will involve data collection at the edge using IoT sensors and UAVs; secure data processing and management from the edge to the cloud; simulations visualizations and analytics of data using Machine Learning; sociotechnical impacts (perceived fairness of AI systems); and decision support systems.
