A.J. Bernheim Brush
A.J. Bernheim Brush works as a Partner Group Product Manager in the Microsoft Search Assistant and Intelligence (MSAI) product group. Her team of twenty Product Managers works collaboratively with hundreds of people on features in Outlook and Teams, for example the Play My Emails feature in Outlook and smart replies in Teams. Prior to joining MSAI group, A.J. spent 11 years in Microsoft Research. Her research area is Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on Ubiquitous Computing. She received her Ph.D. in computer science from University of Washington and graduated summa cum laude with a double major in computer science and mathematics from Williams College. She is most well known for her research on technologies for families and expertise conducting field studies of technology. A.J. received an alumni achievement award in 2017 from UW’s Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science, a Borg Early Career Award in 2010, and has over 20 patents. Her research has received two 10-year impact awards, 2 best paper awards, and several best paper nominations. A.J. is a member of the Advisory Board of the ACM Proceedings on Interactive, Mobile, Wearable, and Ubiquitous Technology (IMWUT), and a Senior Member of the ACM. To encourage diversity in the computing field, she serves on the CRA-WP board and was co-chair from 2014 – 2016.
