CRA-W is proud to sponsor the 4th annual Women in Cyber Security Conference being hosted in Tucson, Arizona via the Distinguished Lecture Series program. The mission of the conference is to raise awareness about the importance and nature of cybersecurity careers. WiCyS hopes to generate interest among students to consider cybersecurity as a viable and promising career option.

The WiCyS 2017 conference will be held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort, 3800 W Starr Pass Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85745.
We highly recommend that attendees fly into Tucson – as Phoenix is a 2.5 hours one-way drive north of Tucson. There will be conference sponsored shuttle service running between the resort and the Tucson airport.
The conference will provide free but limited shuttle services to attendees flying into/out of the PHX airport. Attendees will be asked about their flight arrangements during the registration process. Those who select “flying into PHX” will be contacted separately for details about the conference-sponsored shuttle.
The JW Marriott does not offer free shuttle service to and/or from the Tucson International (TUS) nor the Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) airports. However, both airports have alternate transportation services including rental cars, Uber, taxis and limited shuttle services to the JW Marriott.
Complimentary covered self-parking for overnight hotel guests is provided for the nights stayed at the resort.
The conference bears the cost of lodging for all scholarship recipients. All scholarship recipients will share a room (with two double beds) with another student. Roommate requests can be submitted during registration. This also applies to faculty scholarships.
If your lodging is not covered by your scholarship/sponsorship you will be able to make your own room arrangements by booking online.
A group rate of $230/night (single occupancy) has been negotiated with the hotel.

WiCyS Scholarship Information and Registration Rates:
Due to high demand and interest for participation at the WiCyS 2017 conference and a restricted budget, the registration process is initially controlled to ensure participation from aspiring students, educators and opportunity/resource providers.
Student and faculty scholarship applications are now CLOSED. Notifications sent December 5th.
Unrestricted registrations has opened from January 9. Registration will close March 1, 2017 or Capacity (Whichever comes first).

We are thankful and inspired to see how the cybersecurity community has embraced the Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) initiative with intense enthusiasm and support for diversity. With your support, we are able to keep registration costs low for many attendees. WiCyS scholarship for students and faculty guarantees registration, low subsidized registration fee and shared lodging for March 30th and 31st.
