The Computing Research Association convened a morning briefing on the research challenges and potential national benefits of Intelligent Infrastructure.
From embedding controllers, intersection schedulers and sensors along roads to optimize traffic flow; to developing intelligent power grids; to improving community responses to disasters, delivering enhanced connectivity to rural areas and empowering smart agriculture, Intelligent Infrastructure promises to change the way we interact with each other and how we plan and design our cities, towns and communities. Join us as a panel of researchers in academia and industry discuss the role intelligent infrastructure could play in addressing the Nation’s infrastructure needs, identify critical gaps and barriers to successful deployments, and the importance of continued research in addressing them.
