NSF FY2024 Request: President Biden Calls for Another Strong Budget for NSF
In our continuing series following the Biden Administration’s Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) budget request, we now turn to the National Science Foundation (NSF).
The Computing Research Association (or CRA) has been involved in shaping public policy of relevance to computing research for more than two decades. More recently the CRA Government Affairs program has enhanced its efforts to help the members of the computing research community contribute to the public debate knowledgeably and effectively.

First in a series of posts on the assorted FY23 agency budget requests that are important to the computing research community. First up: the National Science Foundation. As with last year’s budget request, the Biden Administration is advocating a strong vision for NSF, assigning the agency a leading role in many of the Administration’s science priorities, and backing it up with a generous budget increase.
The Director of the National Science Foundation, Dr. Sethuraman Panchanathan, formally announced the establishment of the Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships, or TIP.
