Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship

The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) provides up to four years of financial support for students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use high-performance computing to solve complex problems in science and engineering.

The program also funds doctoral candidates in applied mathematics, statistics or computer science departments who undertake research in enabling technologies for emerging high-performance systems.

The DOE CSGF has defining benefits that set it apart from other science- and engineering-focused graduate fellowships:

·              $45,000 yearly stipend

·              Payment of full tuition and required fees at any U.S. accredited university

·              Yearly program review held each summer in the Washington D.C. area

·              Annual professional development allowance

·              Twelve-week research practicum at a DOE national laboratory

·              A rigorous program of study that ensures fellows have solid backgrounds in a scientific or engineering discipline plus computer science and applied mathematics

Applications for the 2023-2024 academic year are due January 18, 2023.
