The Department of Computer Science, Middle Tennessee State University (http://www.mtsu.edu/csc/) invites applications for one assistant/associate professor tenure-track position beginning August 1, 2025. Applicants for this position must hold a doctorate degree in computer science or a closely related field by the appointment date. This position requires a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. The successful applicant must be willing to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and engage students (including undergraduates) in research.
Applicants are invited from all areas of computer science, but applicants with a background in quantum computing, cyber security, or game design are highly encouraged to apply.
The Department offers a BS with three concentrations: Professional Computer Science (ABET accredited), Business Applications and Cybersecurity Systems, and an MS in Computer Science. The department serves over 600 undergraduate and graduate majors and is closely tied to the Computational and Data Sciences PhD program.
