The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (https://cse.hkust.edu.hk/) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) invites applications for substantiation-track faculty positions at the ranks of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor for the 2025-2026 academic year. We are looking for outstanding candidates in all areas of computer science and engineering who can complement or add to our existing strengths in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Database, Human-Computer Interaction, Networking and Computer Systems, Software Engineering and Programming Languages, Theoretical Computer Science, and Vision and Graphics. All candidates must have a PhD degree in Computer Science or related fields by the time of appointment. Salary and startup package are highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include medical/dental benefits and annual leave. Housing will also be provided where applicable. Assistant Professor appointments will initially be on a three-year contract. A gratuity will be payable upon completion of contract.
The Department has 50 regular faculty members, recruited from major universities and research institutions around the world, and more than 1,700 students (including about 740 postgraduate students).
