School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

The School of EECS at Washington State University (WSU) in Pullman, WA invites applications for multiple permanent full-time, nine-month, tenure-track/tenured faculty positions in Computer Science at the assistant/associate/full professor level. The following three major areas (and related topics) of computer science and engineering will be considered: (i) electronic design automation and computer architecture using emerging technologies, (ii) intersection of high performance computing and machine learning: HPC for scalable ML and ML to optimize HPC, and (ii) computer security broadly construed with a preference for software and system security. WSU is ranked Top-20 as per CSRankings.org in several areas including electronic design automation and high-performance computing, and these positions are intended to build on these strengths and the newly launched cybersecurity program. The new faculty will have numerous collaboration opportunities with several large initiatives at WSU including (but not limited to) the NSF-USDA AgAID AI Institute, DOD-funded CySER Institute for cybersecurity, and WSU-PNNL Advanced Grid Institute. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will begin their appointment on August 16, 2025.
