Research Presentation – Designing Healthcare Robots for Children with Special Needs: In recent months, there has been an upsurge in the attention given to robots and artificial intelligence and their inevitable destruction of the human race if we are not watchful. Whether your opinion sits on one side or the other, the fact remains; robots have already become a part of our society and, in some cases, an integral part. In this presentation, Ayanna Howard will talk about her research in healthcare robotics and how these technologies can help address real-life needs for improving the quality of life for children with disabilities.
Mentoring Session – Finding and Making the Most of an Undergraduate Research Experience: Ayanna and Gail will discuss how to start an undergraduate research experience search and how to get the most out of research experiences.
