Welcome to the Center for Evaluating the Research Pipeline!
The CRA Center for Evaluating the Research Pipeline (CERP) is designed to help increase diversity in the field of computing research by studying patterns of entry and persistence in computing at the postsecondary level.
A unique feature of CERP is our ability to do comparative evaluation for intervention programs aimed at broadening the computing research pipeline, where we compare success outcomes among intervention participants versus non-participants.
CERP relies on a network of Data Buddies (i.e., computer science departments across the U.S.) to help us collect comparative survey data from students and faculty in computing. We encourage your department to join us! Click here to sign up to be a data buddy.
We are currently recruiting new clients! If you or someone you know is interested in comparative evaluation for your intervention program, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn how to become a CERP client. Click here for a sample evaluation report CERP provides its clients.
CERP is currently supported by the National Science Foundation as part of a Broadening Participation in Computing grant to an alliance of the Computing Research Association Committee on the Status of Women (CRA-W) and the Coalition to Diversify Computing (CDC).
