This year’s HLF included an interactive session titled “Pitch Your Science News and Opinion Stories to News and Magazine Editors,” to help young researchers improve their skills in this domain.
David A. Patterson, who received the 2017 ACM A.M Turing Award “for pioneering a systematic, quantitative approach to the design and evaluation of computer architectures with enduring impact on the microprocessor industry,” shared a presentation titled Architecture Innovation Accelerates Artificial Intelligence at the first day of the Virtual Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF).
