The Computing Research Association is pleased to announce the annual CRA Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Researchers, which recognizes undergraduate students in North American colleges and universities who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research. The CRA Board of Directors has announced its selections of the 2013 Service Awards. David Notkin, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington Seattle, was selected for the A. Nico Habermann Award, and Peter G. Neumann Principle Scientist at SRI International, was selected for the Distinguished Service Award.

The CRA Board of Directors has selected Susan L. Graham, Pehong Chen Distinguished Professor Emerita at UC Berkeley, for the Computing Research Association Distinguished Service Award 2012. Graham was selected in recognition of the extraordinary contributions that she has made over more than three decades of dedicated and selfless service and leadership. The CRA Board of Directors has selected Lucy Sanders, CEO, National Center for Women & Information Technology; Robert Schnabel, Dean, School of Informatics, Indiana University; and Telle Whitney, CEO and President of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology to receive the 2012 A. Nico Habermann Award.
The Computing Research Association honors the recipients of its 2012 Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Awards, sponsored this year by Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL). Microsoft Research and MERL sponsor the awards in alternate years.
